La Tania is a little hidden gem set amongst pine trees midway between Méribel and Courchevel. Originally built as an accommodation base for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, La Tania has grown into a self contained resort yet retained it’s village atmosphere with a real community feel.
A bucket list resort at the doorstep of the Three Valleys? Of course!
For beginners - there are practice slopes in the village with a free lift. The green Plan Fontaine run winds through the pines from the top of the gondola down to the village passing the back door of Chalet Beriozka - yes, within a few metres of the back door - ending at the lift in the village centre - this is the quickest way to get to the lift in the morning!
For intermediate/advanced - the roller coaster blue Folyères run offers a faster route from the top lift station to the village. Go higher and there are a selection of runs to Courchevel 1850 and Méribel. Pre-book your ski passes and they’ll be waiting in your chalet on arrival and we can arrange skis, boards and boots fitting in your chalet. Let us know you plans and we can arrange one for you.
La Tania is a hidden gem, a quiet, self contained resort set amongst pine trees, small enough to have a real alpine village atmosphere yet offering many of the facilities of the bigger, busier resorts with no need to leave the village.
There’s plenty of nightlife with live music nightly from at least one of the 5 bars, aprés ski Happy Hours, 8 restaurants ranging from takeaways to Michelin starred and 4 mountain restaurants perched on the slopes above the village.
You can ski from the back door of Chalet Beriozka straight to the gondola in the village, then you’re only 2 lifts away from skiing down to Courchevel 1850 or Méribel, the whole 3 Valleys ski area is within easy reach. All the runs have snow canons, face north and are largely sheltered by pines which help to keep the runs snow secure all season.

Minutes from Geneva airport
There are a number of airports suitable for Courchevel - La Tania but we would recommend Geneva (GVA) as the best airport to fly into. If this is not suitable we can also recommend Lyon (LYS). Transfers from Geneva (GVA) or Lyon (LYS) typically take about two hours and fifteen minutes.
Chambery (CMF) is also an option but It is usually better to avoid Chambery if possible as even though it is closer there are far fewer transfer options available.
Please note where possible it is best to book flights that land any time between about 09:00 in the morning and 18:00 in the evening as this is when the scheduled transfers are most available. For transfers we can recommend the following companies:
We are currently waiting for the 2024-2025 liftpass prices to be published. If you'd like us to notify you when they are made available, please let us know.
La Tania is part of the larger Three Valleys ski area. There are two lift pass options available: "Local Area" (Courchevel Valley) and "Full Area" (all of the Three Valleys' resorts). The local area pass is usually sufficient for beginner skiers. The full area pass is better suited to more experienced skiers and boarders, looking to explore and cover more ground.

Our group had a brilliant time at Chalet Panda. Jill was really easy to communicate with and the whole process was smooth and simple. Our stay was excellent with top class food made from amazing, friendly hosts (Jan and Jana). We would definitely return and highly recommend. We also loved the ski resort. Overall an amazing holiday.
