Everyone loves kids, but there are lots of reasons why an adults-only ski holiday might be better for you. If so, you've come to the right place.
Adult company, adult conversation and no kids, simple!
Everyone loves kids, but there are lots of reasons why an adults-only ski holiday might be better for you. If so, you've come to the right place. Adorable as kids are, at The Ski Gathering all our ski holidays are strictly adults-only - no children allowed. We have designed the dream holiday for individuals, couples and small groups to meet and mingle in grown-up company. Sharing the chalet with like-minded adults, you can have company when you want it and total freedom when you don't.
In a shared chalet, some adults-only groups find that young families can dominate somewhat, dictating the atmosphere of the setting and the dynamics of the group as a whole. If you're looking to get away from it all and let your hair down, this might not be the ski holiday you have in mind.
The Ski Gathering is perfect for grown-up skiers who are looking to unwind in adult-only company. Whether you're travelling alone, as a couple, or in a sociable small group, our holidays allow you to meet like-minded grown-ups and enjoy the skiing in a relaxing child-free environment.
Our main Ski Gathering chalets are 100% child free. We only take bookings from adults in our chalets. This way we maintain a social atmosphere in which you can relax. The only exception to this is our "Just Ski" weeks.
While we do not take bookings for children in our hotels there may be other guests of the hotel who have brought children so we cannot guarantee a child free zone.
As with any shared chalet, all guests enjoy breakfast around the same time. Your lift pass has been delivered to the chalet so, whenever you're ready, just head for the slopes. World-class skiing awaits...
The choice is yours: ski with the group or do your own thing. Some like to form small groups of similar experience levels or interests; others like to strike out on an adventure of their own. It's completely up to you.
Join the others for aprés ski in the resort centre, or head back to the chalet to get the first slice of the afternoon cake. We'll all have dinner together. Grab a drink with the rest of the gang, or hit the hay ready for a big day tomorrow.
The single-occupancy supplement is generally the biggest headache for individual skiers travelling alone. Usually, solos have to pay a premium for the empty bed, making ski holidays unaffordable for most singles and solo skiers. With The Ski Gathering, you'll be sharing a room so there is no single supplement. Sharing a triple or quad room, you pay slightly less than those sharing a twin.
Our Adults Only Ski Holidays are exclusively for adults only. This is your holiday so relax, switch off and enjoy it.
Our Adults Only Ski Holidays are tailor-made for single and solo skiers. Find your own perfect balance between free and sociable time.
Two-trips, one winter. You've skied with the kids already, now it's your time to play with some real skiing.
This might be your first time travelling alone, and that's totally cool. Meet people like you, share the mountain.
Our Adults Only Ski Holidays are perfect for groups of twos and threes with mixed abilities.
Share the chalet, share the mountain, share the memories. This is a holiday for ski enthusiasts to enjoy together with like-minded people.
We are now fully booked for the 2024-2025 season. Behind the scenes, we're already working on plans for 2025-2026, with dates and prices set to be released soon. Watch this space for updates! To be the first to find out when these are available, please sign up for our newsletter below.
Next time we have some big news or big discounts, you will be the first to know.
Absolutely, sociable couples are very welcome. Just ask us for your own double or twin room (n.b. all rooms are single-sex except by request by mixed-sex couples). Enjoy time as a two when you want to, join the rest group when it suits.
You will be sharing the chalet with other independent travellers just like you, plus perhaps some groups of two or three skiers who already know each other but would like to mix with others. There will be a full range of abilities from day-one beginners to seasoned veterans of the slopes.
No. There are no formal or pre-arranged group activities. Nobody telling you how to have fun. It's totally casual. Meet other friendly people and do whatever makes a ski holiday awesome for you.
That's up to you! Many of our chalets offer single rooms. But they're in short supply, so book early if you want to have your own private space. For most people, though, the social holiday experience does involve sharing a bedroom. Depending on your chalet, you can choose from twin, triple and quad bedrooms. The more people you share with, the cheaper your holiday is likely to be. Some people like to share with a few people and enjoy the banter. Others prefer to have a bit more space. It's totally up to you. See all chalets...
Firstly, we offer adults-only ski holidays, so there are no children or teenagers. Perhaps more importantly, everyone who books has chosen to share their ski holiday with other outgoing and friendly people.
Yes, just let us know what you need and we will get everything sorted for you, hassle-free. We can arrange your lift pass, your ski hire and your ski lessons, if applicable. Happy to help.
Airport Transfers are typically not included in our chalet prices though this does vary from resort to resort, we are very happy to arrange your transfers for you.
The best time to arrive (when possible) is some time in the mid afternoon of the first day. If however you need to arrive in resort at another time we will do our best to accommodate you. The reason we recommend mid afternoon on the first day is because it give you an excellent chance to meet the other guests
No. Unless specified otherwise (e.g. on a single parents' holiday) there are no children on our social ski holidays — we specialise in adults-only ski holidays. One exception to this is our "Just Ski" offering. Just Ski is not a social ski holiday and doesn't involve sharing with other solos. Instead, it appeals to people who just want to travel alone, ski alone, and share a chalet with non-solos, possibly including families with young children.
