Everyone is welcome. Couples, singles, solos...
Share a chalet with other sociable skiers
Travel alone or in a small group. It's up to you
We will never charge you extra for travelling alone
The Ski Gathering is the first-choice destination for solo and single ski holidays. If you're looking to go skiing independently this winter, but prefer not to be on your own, you've come to the right place.
Single skiers and solo snowboarders - you've come to the right place.
Our holidays are sociable ski experiences designed for individual skiers / snowboarders (small, sociable groups of two or three are also welcome). This means there is no single supplement, and you get to meet other outgoing travellers from all walks of life. We are experienced specialists in solo ski vacations - it's our only focus. If this is your first solo ski holiday, or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch - we're really friendly!
Our Solo and Singles Ski Holidays are tailor-made for single and solo skiers. Find your own perfect balance between free and sociable time.
Two-trips, one winter. You've skied with the kids already, now it's your time to play with some real skiing.
This might be your first time travelling alone, and that's totally cool. Meet people like you, share the mountain.
Our Solo and Singles Ski Holidays are perfect for groups of twos and threes with mixed abilities.
Our Solo and Singles Ski Holidays are exclusively for adults only. This is your holiday so relax, switch off and enjoy it.
Share the chalet, share the mountain, share the memories. This is a holiday for ski enthusiasts to enjoy together with like-minded people.
Our chalets are all available on a shared basis, so it doesn't matter how small your group is - most of our guests are couples or individuals travelling alone. For an individual or solo skier, this means you avoid the single supplement by sharing your room with other skiers and snowboarders just like yourself.
Our ski holidays offer company when you want it, freedom when you don't. Staying in our chalets, you have the option of mixing and socialising with other grown-up skiers and boarders during the evenings in the chalet and in the daytimes on the slopes. This goes whether you're travelling alone, as a two, or in a small group.
The Ski Gathering is also perfect for pairs of skiers who have different levels of experience, or simply different interests on the mountains. Some days, you can each join in with separate groups to suit your own level and then meet back up afterwards to share your stories from your day on the slopes.
The single-occupancy supplement is generally the biggest headache for individual skiers travelling alone. Usually, solos have to pay a premium for the empty bed, making ski holidays unaffordable for most singles and solo skiers. With The Ski Gathering, you'll be sharing a room so there is no single supplement. Sharing a triple or quad room, you pay slightly less than those sharing a twin.
As with any shared chalet, all guests enjoy breakfast around the same time. Your lift pass has been delivered to the chalet so, whenever you're ready, just head for the slopes. World-class skiing awaits...
The choice is yours: ski with the group or do your own thing. Some like to form small groups of similar experience levels or interests; others like to strike out on an adventure of their own. It's completely up to you.
Join the others for aprés ski in the resort centre, or head back to the chalet to get the first slice of the afternoon cake. We'll all have dinner together. Grab a drink with the rest of the gang, or hit the hay ready for a big day tomorrow.
Next time we have some big news or big discounts, you will be the first to know.
A solo ski holiday or single ski holiday is a ski trip where you can spend a week skiing and socialising with other people just like you. People who love to ski (or want to try it) but, for whatever reason, they don't have a group to ski with this year. For some, that's a choice: the skiing creates an opportunity to meet new people and that's exactly what they're looking for. For others, it a more pragmatic choice: they want to ski but their friends or partner can't make it this year. Either way, a solo ski holiday is a great way to enjoy the mountains and meet new people. We say it's company when you want it, freedom when you don't.
Yes. Your holiday will be hosted by a mature and experienced ski-industry professional who knows the local area and knows how to make a social holiday start off on the right foot. Your host is the social glue that binds the ski group together. On the first evening, they will be there to break the ice and make sure everyone feels welcome, relaxed and at home. This all happens naturally over a few welcome drinks: there's no cringey organised fun or ice-breakers. Our hosts are just there to put everyone at ease and make everyone feel welcome. When choosing our partner companies and hosts, we only work with people who share our passion for bringing together groups of sociable people who want to have a great time in the mountains.
No. The Ski Gathering does not offer "dating ski holidays" or "ski holidays for singles", as such. Instead, we tend to think of our ski trips as shared chalet holidays for individual skiers and sociable solo travellers.
You will be sharing the chalet with other independent travellers just like you, plus perhaps some groups of two or three skiers who already know each other but would like to mix with others. There will be a full range of abilities from day-one beginners to seasoned veterans of the slopes.
No. There are no formal or pre-arranged group activities. Nobody telling you how to have fun. It's totally casual. Meet other friendly people and do whatever makes a ski holiday awesome for you.

That's up to you! Many of our chalets offer single rooms. But they're in short supply, so book early if you want to have your own private space. For most people, though, the social holiday experience does involve sharing a bedroom. Depending on your chalet, you can choose from twin, triple and quad bedrooms. The more people you share with, the cheaper your holiday is likely to be. Some people like to share with a few people and enjoy the banter. Others prefer to have a bit more space. It's totally up to you. See all chalets...
Airport Transfers are typically not included in our chalet prices though this does vary from resort to resort, we are very happy to arrange your transfers for you.
The best time to arrive (when possible) is some time in the mid afternoon of the first day. If however you need to arrive in resort at another time we will do our best to accommodate you. The reason we recommend mid afternoon on the first day is because it give you an excellent chance to meet the other guests
No. Unless specified otherwise (e.g. on a single parents' holiday) there are no children on our social ski holidays — we specialise in adults-only ski holidays. One exception to this is our "Just Ski" offering. Just Ski is not a social ski holiday and doesn't involve sharing with other solos. Instead, it appeals to people who just want to travel alone, ski alone, and share a chalet with non-solos, possibly including families with young children.
