Meet other off-piste skiers and snowboarders on a social ski holiday

If you're a skier travelling alone or in a small group, you have come to the right place. Welcome to The Ski Gathering — social ski holidays for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Meet like-minded and sociable people on a ski holiday that's equally suited to day-one beginners and seasoned veterans alike.

We have decades of combined experience providing first-rate ski holidays. So we understand that a first solo ski trip can seem a little daunting, especially if you're travelling alone as a solo skier. Well, we're here to help. At The Ski Gathering, you won't be on your own — you'll be sharing with other guests who are in the same boat as you.

A typical day with The Ski Gathering on our Off-Piste holidays

No single supplement. What does that mean?

The single-occupancy supplement is generally the biggest headache for individual skiers travelling alone. Usually, solos have to pay a premium for the empty bed, making ski holidays unaffordable for most singles and solo skiers. With The Ski Gathering, you'll be sharing a room so there is no single supplement. Sharing a triple or quad room, you pay slightly less than those sharing a twin.

Highly recommend and will be back again!Great solo travel trip with The Ski Gathering/Host Savoie, it's a brilliant concept for solos/couples/small groups who can't fill a whole chalet. The week we were in was the budget week, so no afternoon tea (which I would have liked to have seen included), but the food was good in the evenings and at breakfast. Everything you need in a chalet in Morzine plus the bus stop just outside. Highly recommend and will be back again!

I cannot rate it enough! This year Feb 2025 was my 3rd time ever doing a solo trip with The Ski Gathering. I cannot rate it enough! The locations are great, but for me, the option of them sorting out ABSOLUTELY everything (minus booking of flights), is why I'll keep using them as a ski holiday provider. The chalets are lovely, the meals provided are great, the ease of contacting (and response) is second to none. Pricing is super competitive also. Definitely looking forward to booking for ski seasons to come :-)

I could not have asked for a better experienceHands down one of if not the best ski trips I have ever been on. Having only stayed in hostels with friends on previous trips I had no idea what to expect from a hosted chalet let alone as part of a solo trip with Ski Gathering. This surpassed all I could have envisioned. The chalet was beautiful, spacious, well stocked and homely. Our host Holly was warm, welcoming, down to earth and fun. She catered to our every need with genuine passion and pride. The chalet was spotless, food exquisite and beverages constantly topped up. As 15 solo travelers Holly and the team engaged with us all equally, easing us in and helping us acquaint with each other. Holly was knowledgeable of the area and any questions she couldn't answer she went out of her way to remedy. The group themselves were amazing and fun and I have already recommended this trip to many of my friends and I would return in a heartbeat as others in the group already had. I could not have asked for a better experience, host or team. It says a lot that we had so much fun as a group that we preferred to hang out all together and at the chalet rather than venture off and do our own things, even on the hosts nights off. I am truly beyond grateful for the experience and for having met and spent time with them all.

I would go back in a heartbeat. What a brilliant week. Everything was frankly fantastic - the chalet was roomy and very comfortable, the food was uniformly excellent, the beer & wine genuinely free-flowing. But more than that, we were so well looked after I don't know where to begin. Nothing was too much trouble, the chalet staff always cheerful & oh so efficient. Then, of course, there's Belinda. What a superstar - how she keeps everybody organised is a mystery but she does it somehow and always with a wicked sense of humour and boundless energy. I feel privileged to have spent a week being looked after by the team and I would go back in a heartbeat.

A memorable holidaySpent an amazing week at Les Suites d'Alpes in Les Gets on a 50+ with Ski Gathering. Belinda worked incredibly hard, attending to our every need. The chalet girls were very kind and the food was really excellent. The guests were a really great bunch of people and many were happy to ski as a group. All in all, a memorable holiday with a real party atmosphere for the Apres Ski.

Would recommend for solo skiersIt was a great trip to Les Gets with the Ski Gathering. Belinda was a great host and got everyone organised and showed us around the mountains. We ended up with a hardcore group of 8 skiers out of around 16 in the chalet. Great food and wine, and chalet staff. Would recommend for solo skiers who don't want to ski on their own.

What a week !!!!Well !! Where do I start? I have just returned from a week in Les Gets with the Ski Gathering. It was bloody excellent from start to finish. Belinda was a meticulous and fantastic organiser and also a fabulous host. The chalet was superb and includes a small pool, sauna and hot tub for pampers apres ski. Food in the chalet was a brilliantly high standard. And all the chalet girls and chefs were excellent. I was made to feel so welcome. Last word on my chalet mates: what a smashing group we were in. Sociable, caring, some great skiers and some wonderful wits. What a week !!!!

Five stars is not enoughWhere do I begin? Despite all the mishaps, misadventures, and badly injuring my right knee, this was the best experience I have had skiing in years. I cannot stress enough how brilliant Belinda and the team of ladies at Les Gets were, from arrival to departure. Their organisation and support were invaluable. If they said something was worth doing or recommended a place to go, they were invariably right. The support they provided to ensure you have a great trip was absolutely first-class. I should know—I had to call upon their help more than most, whether it was needing rescuing from the medical centre or somehow swapping skis with another unfortunate person. This was definitely the best trip I have been on in years—great value in a great atmosphere. Good accommodation and great food, even for a very fussy eater like myself. Afternoon tea and cakes were fabulous—only, there was never enough cake for us gannets! The service was friendly and superb throughout my stay, and I cannot praise it enough. Five stars is not enough. If I am ever able to go skiing again, I will definitely go with The Ski Gathering. Thank you for a brilliant holiday. As I sit here waiting for the fracture clinic to call back with an appointment date, I can only look back with pleasure on my trip to Les Gets and my time with The Ski Gathering—and the memories I have. If you are wanting to go solo skiing, this is definitely the way to go. The team at The Ski Gathering in Les Gets are brilliant!

I had the best time10 stars out of 5!!!! All I can say is wow, wonderful resort, wonderful chalet, wonderful food, wonderful people. I had the best time. I was apprehensive about sharing a chalet and in fact a room with complete strangers, but I loved every second of it. Belinda really is the icing on the cake, I believe there may actually be at least 4 of her!!! She is so helpful, so organised, so knowledgeable and so invested in making your stay the best possible. Not a package holiday, but everything except my flight was organised for me. Les Suites de l'Alpe is right next to a chair lift and free bus route to other parts of the ski area. Food was delicious, girls in chalet so attentive and facilities spot on. I will be back!!!!

With La Plagne's excellent snow coverage and access to high-altitude glaciers, off-piste adventures are usually well within reach. On the Friday, the instructors will lead the group on a full day of off-piste adventure. There will be a day off on Wednesday. The afternoons are free to do as you please.

Who Is This For?

This course is designed for solid confident capable on-piste skiers. It is important that you have the ability and fitness levels required to participate in this course. These requirements will be enforced by the instructors and anyone who does not meet their criteria will not be allowed to participate. A reasonable level of fitness is required but this will be built on during the week.

Awesome ski week! Have had many ski trips in the past but never solo to a chalet, initially unsure what to expect but more than exceeded expectations. Whole group friendly fun and ski/boarded together everyday all over the resort. Chalet hosts really welcoming to cosy modern and well catered meals.
