Description

Fifty metres from the bus stop, expect a great location and fantastic value. Traditionally-appointed in the style of the region, this chalet is at once homely and spacious. There is ample living space and seating for even the largest groups of solo skiers. Chery des Meuniers is a popular choice with groups of all kinds. This chalet is hosted by Host Savoie.

Location

The chalet is situated just fifty metres from the nearest shuttle bus stop. You can be at the main Pleney bubble lift in minutes. Fancy an evening stroll? No worries — it's an easy 15 minutes to the resort centre with its shops, bars and restaurants.

Bedrooms

Five single-sex bedrooms sleeping up to 12 adults in comfort. Three twin rooms and two triples. All beds are full-size singles — no bunks, no fold-ups. All bedrooms have private bathrooms or cabin-style ensuite facilities with power shower.

Space to Spread Out

We have deliberately left some beds empty to give you more room to spread out. Although Chalet Chery des Meuniers has 16 bed spaces, we are accepting a maximum of 12 guests, meaning more room for everyone in bedrooms and communal areas, and no queueing for the shower.

Facilities

The chalet has a 10 person sauna. It also has a cosy woodburning stove to gather around after a long day on the slopes. Free wifi throughout, a flat-screen TV and an iPod dock for all to use. There is also an honesty bar so grab yourself a drink and make yourself at home.

Social & Communal Areas

The living areas of the chalet are light and spacious, offering plenty of room for even the largest groups to relax and socialise. There is ample soft seating for 16 worn-out skiers, so relax and enjoy the space. Communal areas are cleaned daily.

Quiet Den Area

Whether you're calling home or just fancy a bit of quiet time for yourself, the den area provides a secondary living space where you can step away from the main group for a while. Have a chat, plan tomorrow's skiing, or just chill out with a favourite DVD.

Great JobMy second Ski Gathering Holiday at Chalet Chery des Meuniers, I had a very enjoyable and sociable trip with a great group of people. Good snow conditions and fabulous skiing with different group members, a comfortable and cosy chalet and fabulous food cooked by Kath. Tim and Kath are perfect chalet hosts and it was lovely to see them and Tatiana again. Absolutely fantastic tripAbsolutely fantastic trip with Ski Gathering and the Host Savoie team in Morzine! Arrangements were easy with the ski pass and ski hire brought directly to the chalet and bus to the ski lift at the end of the chalet driveway. The team also arranged transfers to the airport. It was the most straightforward ski trip I've ever booked! The chalet was spacious, food was great (including catering for gluten free) and the sauna wonderful at the end of each day out skiing. The other guests were lovely - we all got on so well and skied together each day. Both the Host Savoie team and the rest of the guests made my birthday during the holiday so special. This was such an excellent and fun trip - I would thoroughly recommend!

An awesome tripAn awesome trip from start to finish. From the moment I contacted The Ski Gathering, the level of service was excellent. Communication, organisation and value for money were all first class. Big thanks to Claire. The location of the chalet provides easy access to both the gorgeous town of Morzine and the quality skiing in Avoriaz. Regular bus service every 15 mins was super easy to use. The group I stayed with were brilliant, chalet clean and tidy and things like having your lift pass ready, ski and boot hire brought to the chalet and transfers organised were all super easy. For me, one of the biggest highlights were the two chalet hosts (Tim and Kath). They really did make it a week to remember with excellent cooking from Kath, Tim had an unlimited knowledge of all you need to know in the resort and they were always there to help with anything needed. I am looking forward to a return trip later this season.

Absolutely brilliant skiing holidayAbsolutely brilliant skiing holiday with The Ski Gathering. The customer service received while arranging the trip was excellent; Clare ensured everything was taken care of and nothing was too much trouble. The chalet was really comfortable and Kath and Tim were fabulous hosts who kept us well fed and well looked after. My fellow guests were a great bunch too and we had a lot of fun together. The Ski Gathering is a great idea for solo/pairs of skiers who want the chalet experience and a stress free trip.

100% recommend itWe had superb chalet hosts: Tim & Cath. The best! Fantastic cooking every day. Super games night. Lovely atmosphere. A really easy-going time. Thank you to Tatiana for being the whenever needed - you're so easy going and efficient. A shoutout to all the lovely chalet guests who made it a great holiday for everyone. We got on so well. I'd never done this type of holiday before but would 100% recommend it. Just need clean towels each day and bathrooms cleaned each day too, please.

...will definitely go againI had a fantastic trip to Morzine, my first with Ski Gathering, and will definitely go again. They were so accommodating and communicative regarding all the the arrangements, and Kath and Tim - our chalet hosts - were an absolute delight. I arrived very late at the chalet, after everyone else was in bed, and they were not just up but welcomed me and offered me food; that first night and throughout the trip the food always had a good vegetarian option and was a very high standard - the raspberry souffle was incredible. I've skied many, many times and never stayed anywhere with no specified check-out time, so on my last day, before a late return flight, I had a full day on the slopes before going back for freshly baked cake, a sauna, a shower and finishing my packing, with full access to the room. (The room was spacious - with four beds and only three of us in there - comfortable and clean, though the bathroom is very tiny!), The transfers were in very small groups by minibus and the ski gear I hired was brought to the chalet during breakfast on the first day and collected after my departure - again, maximum convenience and ski time. The chalet is on the ski bus route, right by the bus stop in both directions, and on the night when we ate in town it was a 30-min walk - lovely to do when you're not carrying skis. As I say, I'll definitely be back, either here to to try another Ski Gathering location.

A brilliant company and serviceA brilliant company and service. Claire was very helpful with organising transfers, ski passes, ski hire and in general helpful information. The accommodation was comfortable, it was a chalet with shared rooms and chalet hosts who were lovely. A small group of 12 which was a good group size with a big variety of people some there for the skiing first out and last back and some for a leisurely ski and apres ski parties. It worked out well that we split in to groups for skiing for different abilities. I would go again!

What a great week!What a great week! Although this year has been very mild we still got some snow mid-week and all was forgiven. I have been with Ski Gathering and Andy before on many occasions and i have to say I haven't been disappointed. GREAT STAFF GREAT FOOD GREAT ACCOMODATION (CHERY) GREAT GROUP I couldn't have asked for more. :) Thanks to everyone involved for giving me a great holiday. See you next year.

... they continue to raise the bar!A great week with the Ski Gathering (aka Host Savoie) in Morzine (Feb 11th-18th), at Chalet Ardoisiers. I've stayed with these guys a few times over the last 7-8 years and they continue to raise the bar! Very nice spacious chalet, convenient for the ski bus and a short walk into town in the evenings. Food was prepared to a high standard and some nice touches like pre-dinner drinks and cheese & port later in the evening. Also, the pre-trip details were all taken care of very efficiently (re transfers, ski passes, ski hire etc).

I will do this again!Above and beyond what was promised. The Chalet was cozy and the staff was great. Emily, George and Jo took care of everything we needed. Zac's cooking had the quality of gourmet and the quantity of home cooking. The concept of single skiing is brilliant. Our group felt like family from day one. I will do this again!

I will do this again!Just returned from a Christmas week at Chalet Ardoisiere with Host Savoie - having booked similar holidays previously with other providers I knew what to expect in practical terms. From the start however the Host Savoie team handled matters differently, keeping in contact from booking date to arrival, which was reassuring and professional. I understand how apprehensive solo skiers are but Host Savoie did everything subtly to encourage confidence and communication in its residents prior to the holiday. Airport transfers were the most efficient I have experienced and booking ski passes/equipment felt like a luxury personal service! The chalet was immaculate and spacious, conveniently located by the ski bus stop and close to the town centre. The chalet team Jo ans Zak couldn't do enough for us and were welcomed as extra group members - their professionalism and maturity was noteworthy compared to the stereotypical Seasonaire - they were clearly hired for their interest in the job role rather than for a seasonal ski pass! Not only did Zak the chef make mince pies on Christmas day - he made the mincemeat from scratch, whilst Jo still managed to clean up the chalet on departure day even though we were under her feet for most of the day! My ski group were a bunch of like minded solo skiers - well matched personality-wise and ability-wise on the slopes. Despite conditions not being perfect, time spent off the slopes was as enjoyable as on thankfully.. Host Savoie have created the perfect business model for solo skiers - attention to detail, alleviating solo skiers nerves and catering for the needs of solo skiers without penalizing us with a price tag!

I highly recommend these guysI've been to Morzine and stayed with the Ski Gathering at Chalet Claude twice (2017 and 2019), and Chelet Chery once (2018). They have excellent properties and offer good value for money for people who are travelling solo (sometimes it's difficult to get people to come skiing with you when you want to). The staff are friendly and highly professional. Generally speaking things run smoothly. The manager/owner who runs the business takes a keen hands on interest in making sure every customer is well taken care of. If you want a catered chalet ski trip to Morzine and Portes du Soleil I highly recommend these guys. I'm hoping to return yet again next season!

Could not recommend highly enoughI've just done two back to back weeks with The Ski Gathering over Christmas and New Year and the whole journey was absolutely brilliant. On both weeks I've met people who I'd like to keep in my life forever, the food was divine and the hosts and staff were exceptional in every way. Special mention to Emily, our first week's chalet girl - WOW, she's amazing. I'll be back again and again. Communication was excellent in the organisation phase as I was travelling from Australia and it gave me confidence that I was with a company that looks after it's customers at the highest level. Could not recommend highly enough.
