The Ski Gathering made it so easyFirst solo trip ever and The Ski Gathering made it so easy by helping organise everything needed out there such as lift pass and transfers as well as Belinda taking the time to show us round the mountains and showing us the best runs and restaurants! Our host Olivia was so friendly and made it really easy for us throughout our stay!

I am still buzzing long after the tripThis was my first time in the mountains skiing & I was apprehensive before the trip as I was not sure what the people would be like or if I could keep up. Fortunately there was a wide range of abilities with someone to ski with & the group was great at encouraging each other and bonding after. The food is wonderful every night as is the drinks that you can help yourself to. Special mention must go to Belinda a master of organisation and able to answer my many questions & point out the best places to ski & eat out. Nothing was too much trouble. Our chalet host Phoebe & Rosie served great breakfast/tea always with a smile. I am still buzzing long after the trip, would love to return next year.

Great food, great companyMy third holiday with Belinda and the team with The Ski Gathering in Les Gets. Great food, great company, comfortable accommodation very close to the Chevanne lift in Chalet des Pistes. I have skied with the over 50's group which has always had a good mixture of abilities so it never been a problem teaming up with others in the group with a similar level of skiing. Last, but by no means least, its great value for money.

Another great holidayAnother great holiday, the food continues to confirm that Raph is a Michelin star chef de cuisine. Chalet le Fine is intimate cosy and a short walk to the ski lift. The team of Belinda, Emma and the chalet staff are incredibly attentive and deserve special acknowledgement.

Super organisationAn excellent trip all round. Super organisation including having the transfers, ski pass and equipment all ready on arrival. Loved the location - only 5 minutes by free bus to either Morzine or Avoriaz (Prodains), giving great access to the Portes du Soleil region. Well looked after by Nina and Paul. Would certainly like to return at some point.

A real home away from homeI've been using TSG company for 4 years, and have been on more than 14 holidays with them. Organisation and communication always been excellent, but this year really stood out thanks to our hosts, Paul and Nina. They were absolutely amazing — so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely lovely. The food was outstanding throughout the week, and the cakes were on another level — something I genuinely looked forward to every afternoon. The chalet was always warm clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere they created made it feel like a real home away from home. It's hosts like Paul and Nina that keep me coming back year after year and multiple times in a season.

Great food every nightJust had a great stay at HDB. A warm welcome from the team followed by a great Ski Gathering kick off meeting. The room was very good with a new bathroom with a bath and plenty of hot water. We were given lifts to and from the slopes every day which was needed. Opposite is a very helpful ski shop. Great food every night and a sumptuous buffet breakfast.

We were looked after very wellGreat hotel. As part of The Ski Gathering group we were looked after very well. Breakfast is a good selection of cold foods or hot crispy bacon & scrambled eggs, with a omelette if liked. Dinner was 5 courses, so plenty to eat. Good ski locker downstairs. There is a small sauna & steam room too, which was lovely. I had room 305, which was lovely & had a super large en-suite. 5 mins walk to ski lift or bus station.

Every moment was memorableI had an absolutely wonderful time at Chalet Chery des Meuniers in January 2026! The hosts, Paul and Nina, were incredible, so kind, helpful, and welcoming. Every meal they prepared was delicious, and as someone with dietary restrictions, I was thrilled to have so many options and enjoy my holiday without any limitations. As a solo traveler, one of the highlights of joining a group trip like this is meeting new people, and the fellow guests did not disappoint. The evenings hold a special place in my heart, whether it was playing games, impromptu dance class, or simply sharing laughs together, every moment was memorable. As other reviews have mentioned, the chalet is only a short bus ride away from Morzine and Avoriaz so it's easy to get either slopes to ski. I simply can't recommend this trip, the hosts and the chalet enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a solo ski holiday?

A solo ski holiday or single ski holiday is a ski trip where you can spend a week skiing and socialising with other people just like you. People who love to ski (or want to try it) but, for whatever reason, they don't have a group to ski with this year. For some, that's a choice: the skiing creates an opportunity to meet new people and that's exactly what they're looking for. For others, it a more pragmatic choice: they want to ski but their friends or partner can't make it this year. Either way, a solo ski holiday is a great way to enjoy the mountains and meet new people. We say it's company when you want it, freedom when you don't.

  • Will it be hosted?

Yes. Your holiday will be hosted by a mature and experienced ski-industry professional who knows the local area and knows how to make a social holiday start off on the right foot. Your host is the social glue that binds the ski group together. On the first evening, they will be there to break the ice and make sure everyone feels welcome, relaxed and at home. This all happens naturally over a few welcome drinks: there's no cringey organised fun or ice-breakers. Our hosts are just there to put everyone at ease and make everyone feel welcome. When choosing our partner companies and hosts, we only work with people who share our passion for bringing together groups of sociable people who want to have a great time in the mountains.

  • This is not a dating holiday

No. The Ski Gathering does not offer "dating ski holidays" or "ski holidays for singles", as such. Instead, we tend to think of our ski trips as shared holidays for individual skiers and sociable solo travellers.

  • Who will be there?

You will be sharing the chalet or staying in a hotel with other independent travellers just like you, plus perhaps some groups of two or three skiers who already know each other but would like to mix with others. There will be a full range of abilities from day-one beginners to seasoned veterans of the slopes.

  • Do we have to 'join in'?

No. There are no formal or pre-arranged group activities. Nobody telling you how to have fun. It's totally casual. Meet other friendly people and do whatever makes a ski holiday awesome for you.

  • Which resorts can I choose from?

We currently offer ski holidays in Meribel, Corvara, Morzine, Les Gets, Chamonix - Les Houches, Zell Am See, Les Arcs, and La Plagne. All these resorts deserves to be near the top of any skier's bucket list, offering genuinely world-class skiing on- and off-piste. Read more...

  • Is there a single supplement?

No. Solo skiers and snowboarders share a room so there is no single supplement to pay. A simple solution to an age-old problem. Read more...

  • Will I be sharing a bedroom?

That's up to you! Many of our chalets offer single rooms. But they're in short supply, so book early if you want to have your own private space. In our hotels, it is only possible to book a single room, unless you're booking your stay with a person you're travelling with, in a twin room. For most people, though, the social holiday experience does involve sharing a bedroom. Depending on your accommodation, you can choose from twin, triple and quad bedrooms. The more people you share with, the cheaper your holiday is likely to be. Some people like to share with a few people and enjoy the banter. Others prefer to have a bit more space. It's totally up to you. See all chalets & hotels...

  • Are transfers included?

Airport Transfers are typically not included in our chalet prices though this does vary from resort to resort, we are very happy to arrange your transfers for you.

  • When should I arrive?

The best time to arrive (when possible) is some time in the mid afternoon of the first day. If however you need to arrive in resort at another time we will do our best to accommodate you. The reason we recommend mid afternoon on the first day is because it give you an excellent chance to meet the other guests

  • Will there be children in my chalet?

No. Unless specified otherwise (e.g. on a single parents' holiday) there are no children on our social ski holidays — we specialise in adults-only ski holidays. One exception to this is our "Just Ski" offering. Just Ski is not a social ski holiday and doesn't involve sharing with other solos. Instead, it appeals to people who just want to travel alone, ski alone, and share a chalet with non-solos, possibly including families with young children.
